Day 1
Settle into our penthouse accommodations for the week. Allow time for all to take a nap and freshen up after our journey. We will spend the rest of the afternoon strolling Camden Market. We will have an early dinner and early to bed.
Day 2
Depart on 7:00 am train for Newark Station, cab to Antique Fair. We will spend the day shopping at one of Europe’s largest antiques fairs. There is a little bit of everything, something for all. I have a shipper who will gather all items and pack and ship back to the states. Return to London on the 5:00pm train. Dinner in our neighborhood.
Day 3
Leisure morning and then head to Spittlefield Market on the east side of London. This is a weekly market with lots of great treasures. In the afternoon we will have a visit to the Dennis Sever house for an amazing tour followed by High tea in the home of a friend. We will have dinner in a local pub.
Day 4
Portobello Road Market in the morning. This is an old standby but is worth the trip. Lunch at the market. Afternoon tour of Sir John Soan Museum(fabulous) and dinner at The Blakes Hotel.
Day 5
Victoria and Albert Museum- We will see the Alexander McQueen Exhibit. Lunch at the museum. Matinee play- dinner out.
Day 6
Visit Brixton area of London- new and exciting design and antiquing area. In the afternoon we will take the train to Hampton Court. We will spend the night at The Carlton Mitre directly across from Hampton Court. We will pack a small bag for overnight and leave most of our things at the penthouse. This way it will be easy to get to the Kempton Market in the morning- it starts at 6:30 am and you want to be there!
Day 7
Kempton Market!! Awesome! This is where buyers from Anthropologie, Jack Wills and Ralph Lauren among others shop for props for their stores. Shipper available. The market is over by 1. If you are interested and not too exhausted we can visit Hampton Court which is so interesting- afterwards we will head back to our loft to pack! Exhausted but grand!
Day 8-depart for the States
Day 6
